Overview
INSTALLATION
Our engineering team will install and commission your fixed gas detection systems where you require us to do so as per the plans created from the initial site survey and further discussions.
While general commercial electrical contractors do have the ability to install gas detection systems, they don’t necessarily understand the systems and why they are being installed so often will require support to ensure the system will be of the required quality before commissioning commences and avoid delays in handover.
We provide site specific RAMS for each job and a comprehensive site installation pack from the site survey. Our installers are experienced with all the systems that we specify in our proposals as well as carrying out challenging installations in classified hazardous areas, and sites with extreme environmental conditions.
Point Safety understand that Gas detection projects need comprehensive onsite management so our team provide the complete package so on completion of the installation your system is pre commissioned, tested for faults with clear wiring identification prior to the commissioning engineer arriving.
ELECTRICAL TESTING to BS7671
All electrical installations are tested in compliance with BS7671 and all manufactured systems are tested in compliance with BS6423, testing is conducted using UKAS traceable test instrumentation and certificates of testing are issued upon completion
For existing systems an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) It is recommended that these are completed every 3 years.
COMMISSIONING
Our commissioning engineer will attend site where they will carry out a complete set up and testing of the system as per the design and carry out a formal Site Acceptance Test enabling clients to witness.
